SMS Opt-In & Consent

This page documents exactly how Fastest Freelancers collects a consumer's consent before sending a one-time SMS verification code. Consent is captured during account signup. No marketing or promotional texts are sent under this program.

What this program is

Fastest Freelancers sends one-time passcodes (OTP) for account verification only. The single message a recipient receives contains a numeric verification code used to confirm ownership of the mobile number they entered while creating their account.

Messages go only to individuals who are creating a Fastest Freelancers account and who have typed their own US mobile number into our signup form and checked an unchecked-by-default consent box on the same screen. We do not message purchased, imported, or third-party lists, and we never message a number that did not request a code.

The flow is automated and strictly transactional, triggered by a single user action: pressing "Send Verification Code" during signup, or requesting a resend of that same code. It is not conversational, not recurring, and not notification-based — message frequency is one message per request. No marketing, promotional, or informational content is ever sent on this number.

Where & how consent is collected

During signup (Step 2 of 4. "Verify your account"), the consumer enters their own US mobile number and must actively check a consent box before a verification code can be sent. The box is unchecked by default, and the "Send Verification Code" button stays disabled until it is checked. Below is the exact experience the consumer sees:

Opt-out & help

This program sends one message: the verification code the consumer just requested. Replying STOP opts the number out immediately and blocks any further messages from this program; STOP is honored automatically at the messaging-service and carrier level. Because there are no recurring, promotional, or marketing messages, there is no ongoing list to unsubscribe from.

Declining is not checking the box. Consent is captured before anything is sent — the box is unchecked by default and the "Send Verification Code" button stays disabled until the consumer checks it — so a consumer who does not want a text simply does not request one, and no message is sent to that number.

Replying HELP returns program and contact information. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency is one message per verification request. The number is used for verification, account security, and fraud prevention only; it is never sold, and it is never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
